You and your industries asked that functional skills should be included in our service.

We have secured funding to offer full apprenticeships which includes English, Maths and ICT as well as our usual QCFs.

We achieved MATRIX standards to ensure our quality systems are robust enough.

You said we had to find job placements for the new apprenticeships programmes.
We have, so far, placed ten 16 - 24 year old learners with local businesses. From hairdressers to public houses, from care homes to restaurants.

You said the new employability programme is excellent and takes local economy and job vacancies into consideration.
We gave that feedback to our programme designers and trainers and asked that they ensure to take the standard of delivery further up.

You said you wanted our assessors to be more aware of your religious needs and calender.
We included further info into our diversity training to ensure they have an awareness of this issue relevant to you.

You said, one of the employers we liaised with have been making suggestions to young female apprentices to dress inappropriately whilst attending work.
We investigated, found there were grounds for your complaints and stop working with that employer, in fact, they have been reported to both the local safeguarding board and Police for inappropriate and illegal work practices.

You said, you wanted us to ensure that new recruitments (apprentices) we place with you have better understanding of Dementia.
We further trained them to include Dementia in their Prepairing to Work Units.

You said, you wanted to know more about diversity.
We arranged to deliver seminars to ensure that you do, free of charge. We have also tightened up our induction procedures to ensure that all learners have time to ask questions about this issue as well as Equality of Opportunity, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and possible future routes to further development.

You said, you wanted our assessors to be more flexible with their approach to your portfolio work.
We further trained our assessors to have empathy of the nature of your work schedules.

You said, you wanted your own staff members trained as assessors.
We got approval to deliver the new assessors' certificate free of charge.

You said, you wanted us to offer the Level 5 management course.
We got approval to deliver it and as we could find no funding offered it to you free of charge,

You said you wanted your Health and social care workers to do simple, straight forward QCFs rather than Apprenticeships as they are already working and have no need to do ERR, Knowledge Requirements etc.
We found funding to deliver QCFs at level 2 and 3.
